Spy Pics & Rumors – Mitsubishi Pajero Could Be Back!
Now for the part that’s got us (and plenty of Mitsubishi fans) talking…
There’s growing industry chatter and multiple spy photos suggesting Mitsubishi
Pajero is set to return, with testing already happening in Australia. While Mitsubishi hasn’t officially confirmed all the details yet, what we’re seeing so far is very promising
What’s Being Rumored (and Looks Pretty Solid):
A Proper Large 4WD SUV
Spy shots show a big, boxy SUV with serious ground clearance and classic Pajero proportions, very much aimed at buyers wanting real off-road capability.
Built on Triton DNA
Strong indications suggest the new Pajero will be based on the latest Triton ladder- frame platform. That means toughness, durability, and the kind of capability Mitsubishi has built its reputation on.
Australia Testing
Camouflaged test vehicles have already been spotted, which is usually a very good sign that our market is on Mitsubishi’s radar.
Timing
While nothing is locked in, industry expectations point toward a reveal or launch late 2026, with further details likely to emerge over the coming months.
What we don’t know (yet)
As much as we’d love to spill all the details, a few things are still under wraps:
- Engine and drivetrain options
- Interior tech and trims
- Pricing and final NZ availability
Rest assured as soon as Mitsubishi confirms anything office, you’ll hear it from us first.
